Commencement ceremonies mark a significant milestone in the academic journey of students, celebrating their achievements and transition to the next phase of their lives. These joyous events bring together graduates, families, faculty, and friends to honor the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that have culminated in this momentous occasion. This year Compton College's 2024 commencement was a notable event, primarily due to a surprise appearance by Compton native and acclaimed rapper Kendrick Lamar.
