Mobile Food Pantry
A Farmers Market On Wheels
Compton College, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is inviting all families to our facility to receive FREE healthy foods!
Food distributed may include: Fresh fruits and vegetables, canned meats, beans, soups, rice, pasta, sauces, grains, and other perishable items. You can expect to receive approximately 25-40 lbs of food.
Drive-Thru and Walk-Up welcome! Open to the Public
Compton College: Parking Lot F- enter on Greenleaf Blvd. between Santa Fe. Ave. and Long Beach Blvd.
Distribution is every second Tuesday of the month from 1-3 pm.

The Compton College Farmers’ Market hosts regional farmers like JM Produce, C&L Farms, and Angelo Ranch. The market also features local Compton and South LA based food vendors like Pucker Up Lemonade, Kathy’s Kitchen, Fun Time Kettle Corn and more!
EBT benefits are matched dollar for dollar up to $20 with funds from the LA County ARP Market Match program. Compton College students receive $20 market dollars weekly to purchase produce, hot and prepared foods, and more. WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks (FMNP) are also accepted. Stop by the information booth for more details!

What is EOP&S?
Extended Opportunity Programs and Services is a state-funded community college program that provides "over and above" services to Long Beach City College students from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. The program supports the enrollment, retention, and transfer of students, and helps facilitate the successful completion of their educational goals.
How do I qualify?
- Be a California Resident or an eligible AB540 Student/California "Dreamer"
- Be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) at Long Beach City College (sone exceptions apply)
- Have less than 55 degree-applicable units completed
- Meet educationally disadvantaged criteria determined by the EOP&S Program

CalHOPE Program
Program Overview: SHIELDS will provide culturally proficient, emotional, and crisis support to affected individuals, families, and communities throughout Los Angeles who have been impacted by COVID-19 or other life stressors. Services will take place in the home, office, and community throughout Los Angeles. Groups will cover topics such as Parenting, Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Fatherhood, Teens, Substance Abuse, Family Dynamics, Child Development Needs, Self-Care, Stress Management, and Coping Skills; via in-person and on Zoom. Supportive Counseling Services will be provided to meet the individual/family's unique needs and concerns.

How to become an IHSS eligible provider
An In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) provider is someone who gets paid to provide services to a person who receives in-home supportive services under the IHSS Program.
Part 1: Orientation
- Call 1-888-822-9622
- Select Option 7
- Do not press anything or say anything. You will hear a song and messages while holding.
- Ask the person that answers for the IHSS orientation
- Please return the paperwork in person to the IHSS office with your ID and social security card.
Part 2: Criminal Background Check
- You will receive Live scan forms from IHSS orientation.
- You will be responsible for making an appointment and paying the fees.
- You can find live scan locations at this website: https://oag.ca.gov/fingerprints/locations
- It will take an average of 3 weeks for the Dept. of Justice to process your fingerprints.

Therapeutic Play Foundation is an Enhanced Care Management Provider
Enhanced Care Management is a new statewide Medi-Cal benefit available to address the clinical and non-clinical needs of enrollees through intensive coordination of health and health-related services, making it easier for them to get the right care at the right time.

- Learn the best ways to support your health and wellness
- Connect to a care manager in person, by phone of where you live
- Help with forming better relationships with your providers
- Stay focused on your health journey
- Set up transportation to your doctor's office
- Connect to local resources and social services

*CD8* Navigation Center is a resource center that provides hygiene, storage, and case management services for individuals who are experiencing homelessness. It also serves as an access point for the Coordinated Entry System.
